Is there anybody out there?
In 1979, Pink Floyd released The Wall — a double album about isolation, trauma, and the walls we build around ourselves. Buried near the end of Side 4 was a 6-minute-and-22-second guitar solo that became one of the most recognizable pieces of music ever recorded.
"Comfortably Numb" doesn't fix anything. It just makes you feel less alone while everything stays broken. That's the whole point. That's why it still works.
We put it in a box.
