"Yoko Ruined The Beatles" Premium Unisex T-Shirt

The short version: the Beatles were already falling apart before Yoko Ono had anything to do with it. Brian Epstein — the manager who had held the band together and handled the business — died of an accidental overdose in August 1967. Without him, the band immediately began making catastrophically bad decisions: Magical Mystery Tour, Apple Corps, hiring Allen Klein over Paul's objection. The Let It Be sessions in January 1969 were filmed precisely because things were so visibly dysfunctional. George quit during the sessions. They have it on tape.

The actual legal breakup was driven by a management dispute: Paul wanted Lee Eastman (his future father-in-law) to represent the band; John, George, and Ringo chose Allen Klein. That split produced years of litigation and formally ended the Beatles as a business entity. Yoko is not in that chain of events.

What Yoko did do: she was present in the studio constantly, which broke the band's unspoken rule about outsiders. Her avant-garde influence on Lennon is most audible on "Revolution 9" — which McCartney and Harrison hated. John chose her, and that choice meant choosing something other than being a Beatle. That was John's call to make.

So: did she ruin the Beatles? No. Did she contribute to a situation that was already going sideways? Yes. Is that a satisfying answer? Also no. Which is why people are still arguing about it, and why this shirt still starts conversations at every bar, dinner party, and rock show it walks into.
