Eddie and the Hot Rods arrived at the exact moment British rock needed a kick in the teeth. While prog was getting longer and glam was getting softer, the Hot Rods were playing fast, loud, and mean — a raw blend of pub rock energy and proto-punk fury that nobody had quite heard before. Their Live at the Marquee EP landed in 1976, the same year as the Sex Pistols' first gig, and it hit just as hard.

Barrie Masters out front. The band locked in behind him. No frills, no excess — just the kind of rock and roll that makes you want to move.
