This t-shirt refers to Lynyrd Skynyrd drummer Artimus Pyle, who was a vegetarian and wore a shirt with the word "Vegetarian" on it, notably seen on the cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 1977 album, Street Survivors. His dietary choice was a well-known aspect of his personality, and he was even jokingly referred to as the band's "wild man" for his vegetarianism and adventurous stunts though he himself denied being the "wild man".
