"I Am The Clown of Disco Town" is a cult-classic 1977 single by the elusive German artist Fancy Rosy. It is most famous for its bizarre fusion of disco and punk, a hybrid style often retroactively dubbed "punksploitation".
The record famously captures the era's cultural tension between punk and disco by featuring a disco track on the A-side ("I Am The Clown of Disco Town") and a punk parody on the B-side titled "Punk Police".
