"Helter Skelter" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1968 album The Beatles (also known as the "White Album"). It was written by Paul McCartney and credited to Lennon–McCartney. The song was McCartney's attempt to create a sound as loud and dirty as possible. Ringo Starr shouted "I've got blisters on my fingers!" at the end of the song "Helter Skelter" because he actually got blisters on his fingers during the recording session. The band was jamming on the song for an extended period, and the intense drumming caused him to develop blisters. This exclamation was included in the stereo mix of the song, but not in the mono mix.
